Tejas Meat Supply to expand into Round Rock

Georgetown butcher shop and eatery announced for former Kenney Fort Pub site

A Georgetown favorite known for its butcher-shop-meets-restaurant concept is adding a Round Rock location.

Tejas Meat Supply, currently located in Georgetown’s downtown square, announced in January that it plans to expand into Round Rock and move into the former Kenney Fort Pub space at 3001 Joe Dimaggio Blvd., Suite 1400.

The Georgetown location combines a butcher counter and market with a casual restaurant serving house-made sausages, charcuterie, and signature sandwiches like the Georgetown Melt, plus beer and wine. The Round Rock location is expected to have a similar menu and the same overall atmosphere that’s made the Georgetown location popular.

The new location in Round Rock will consist of 3,929 square feet of space, with a bar, dining area, kitchen and small patio area.

A timeline for the expansion wasn’t announced, but restaurant officials said doors will be opening soon.

Co-owners are Keith Odom, Jonathan Brooks and Landrum Turner, and Georgetown location general manager Miles O’Connor will retain the same role in Round Rock.

GOOD THINGS COME TO THOSE WHO SHOP

Want better roads? How about better parks? All you have to do is Shop the Rock. Seriously, head over to the outlets and buy those shoes, or venture downtown for lunch. It doesn’t matter if you are shopping, dining or getting a haircut your dollars are helping to pay it forward and build our community. What makes this possible? Sales tax. Though it may be the least sexy tax, it is the hardest working one. So next time you see a shirt you love, buy it. Your city will thank you.
