Embassy Suites opens in Round Rock with new bar and restaurant

Embassy Suites by Hilton can now stake claim to the “newest hotel” title in Round Rock, and it even features a new restaurant for locals!

The 180-room hotel, which opened in early April at 270 Bass Pro Drive, features a full-service Starbucks and new restaurant Bar Louie. This trendy gastrobar offers refreshing cocktails and chef-inspired fares. Check out its Texas-themed mural and see if you recognize any Texas-based celebrities! The restaurant also includes a stage for performances.

Embassy Suites by Hilton also provides ballrooms for conferences, banquets, weddings and events.  The hotel offers over 17,291 sq. ft. of event space, with 12 meeting rooms and 10,230 sq. ft. of grand ballroom with space for up to 600 guests.

Did you know? Just like sales tax, hotel occupancy taxes are a great benefit to our local community. Visitors staying in Round Rock hotels last year generated $11 million in hotel occupancy tax revenues, which are used to grow the City’s sports tourism program and contributes to the City’s overall quality of life.

GOOD THINGS COME TO THOSE WHO SHOP

Want better roads? How about better parks? All you have to do is Shop the Rock. Seriously, head over to the outlets and buy those shoes, or venture downtown for lunch. It doesn’t matter if you are shopping, dining or getting a haircut your dollars are helping to pay it forward and build our community. What makes this possible? Sales tax. Though it may be the least sexy tax, it is the hardest working one. So next time you see a shirt you love, buy it. Your city will thank you.
