Surfing Crab opens first Austin-area location
The Surfing Crab has brought the bold flavors of Cajun seafood boils to Round Rock.
The Cajun seafood restaurant has added its first Austin-area location to its assemblage of 11 restaurants, all located in Texas and California. Two others are in the works for Texas as part of expansion plans.
Situated in a former Romano’s Macaroni Grill at 2501 S. Interstate 35, The Surfing Crab debuted with a soft opening Oct. 30. It will be open seven days a week.
The menu will be sprinkled with flavorful seasonings, and is spotlighted by its boiled seafood platters, which include a mix of shrimp, clams, crawfish, crab legs, lobster tail and more.
Fried seafood, burgers and po’boys also top the list. Appetizers such as chicken wings, loaded fries and oysters join the plate, as do sides such as corn on the cob, fries, potatoes, cole slaw and more.
Combo meals, including kid meals, are at the ready, as are desserts such as ice cream, cheesecake and chocolate lava cake. An array of drinks can be found, including sodas, tea, juice, beer and cocktails.
The Surfing Crab will accept online orders and will use Door Dash and Uber Eats for deliveries. Find details online at surfingcrabtx.com and on Facebook or contact the eatery at (512) 215-2454.
