Looking for one of the most delicious destinations to start a new restaurant? You found it!

Yep, that’s right, Round Rock once again takes the cake by making NerdWallet’s latest list of the best cities to start a new restaurant – coming in at No. 5 to be exact. Normally we’d blush, but honestly we’re pretty use to being the cream of the crop, the pick of the litter, the crème de la crème. Still, we’re pretty giddy about all the yummy eats that continue to pop up across our community and we can’t help but agree that we’ve got a pretty great community full of hungry tummies just waiting to be filled.

From Jack Allen’s Kitchen to Hopdoddy Burger Bar to The Mellow Mushroom to Svante’s Restaurant to Greenhouse Craft Foods and so, so many more, Round Rock is becoming a true foodie paradise. And our appetite couldn’t be happier about it!

Interested in the ranking? Here’s a quick taste of what they had to say about Round Rock:

“Round Rock is one of the fastest growing cities in the U.S. and is part of one of the fastest-growing metropolitan areas, to boot. The city’s rapid and continuing growth makes the market ripe for new restaurants. Round Rock residents welcome new eateries on a regular basis, including staples from nearby Austin such as Kerbey Lane Cafe, which expanded to Round Rock in May.”

GOOD THINGS COME TO THOSE WHO SHOP

Want better roads? How about better parks? All you have to do is Shop the Rock. Seriously, head over to the outlets and buy those shoes, or venture downtown for lunch. It doesn’t matter if you are shopping, dining or getting a haircut your dollars are helping to pay it forward and build our community. What makes this possible? Sales tax. Though it may be the least sexy tax, it is the hardest working one. So next time you see a shirt you love, buy it. Your city will thank you.
